Ruth C. Thomas, 91, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022. She was born deep in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky on November 13, 1930 to the late Rankin and Sarah Campbell.

She retired from teaching at Cedar Grove Elementary School in Bullitt County and loved to fish, quilt, and cats. But no matter what, Ruth always made sure her family was a priority.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, William K. Thomas; brother, Junior Campbell; and brothers-in-law, Eugene Dixon, Hoover Ison, and Bill Willis; and step-son, William Keith Thomas.

Left to cherish her memory are siblings Rudell Dixon, Velma Back (Jay), Delma Ison, Wanda Willis, Sonny Campbell (Myrtle), and Barbara Ingram (Gilbert); several nieces and nephews who she cherished, step-sons, Harry Goodman Thomas, Christopher Martin Thomas; and many extended family members, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 12-2 pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Okolona. Funeral service will be held on October 14, 2022 at 2 pm with burial to follow at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery.
