Ruth Alberta Thomas, 97, of Louisville, KY passed away June 17, 2022. She was born on February 5, 1925 in Methuen, Massachusetts to Fred and Harriett Thomas. Left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her daughter Susan Gannon, grandchildren; Michael Thomas Gannon, Jeffrey Scott Gannon Sr., great-grandchildren; Casia Gannon, Dakotta “Kody” Gannon, Amaya Gannon, Dystanie Gannon, Jeffrey Gannon Jr., and Riley Gannon.
Ruth was a proud graduate of the 1942 class from Atherton High School. She spent most of her career as a secretary and office manager for several companies in the Louisville area. Ruth was also a devoted member of the Crescent Hill United Methodist Church for many years.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 22 at 12pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle funeral home 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206 with burial to follow. Visitation will be prior to service from 11am to 12pm. Memorial contributions can be made in Ruth’s name to Crescent Hill United Methodist Church or WHAS Crusade for Children.
