She was a member of Buechel United Methodist Church.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Roderick J. Cowgill Sr.
She is survived by her two sons, John Cowgill (Linda) and Bob Cowgill (Elayne), grandchildren, Patrick (Christi), Rachel (Amy Knopf), Bryn (Marcus Reynerson) and Madee Cowgill. Great grandchildren, Ethan and Adam Cowgill. Siblings, Althea Pierson of Dayton, OH, Barbara Hess of Sarasota, FL. and Ronald Miller of Arlington, TX. The family would like to thank Georgia Duvall and Margaret Kendle for their exceptional care throughout Ruth’s illness.
A visitation will be held 1-4 Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with a private family service to follow.
