Ronald L. Greene, 64, of Bardstown, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011.
A native of Louisville, he was a retired teacher for JCPS and Bethlehem High School (Bardstown) and a member of the Kentucky and Jefferson County Retired Teachers Associations. He was a member of several Democratic clubs and he founded the Utility Rate Cutters group. He was a decorated Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wanda Frankum Greene; a daughter, Jennifer L. Green-Atwood; his mother, Elnora Volz; a sister, Carolyn Lloyd; and a brother, Dennis Volz.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
