Romuel Edward Toon

Romuel Edward “Ronnie” or “Uncle Ed” Toon, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born May 1, 1928 in St. Joseph, KY. He was a proud WWII veteran and retired from American Air Filter after 40 years of service. Throughout his life he accomplished the highest level - Pilgrim - in the Loyal Order of the Moose; and in the Scottish Rite – 33rd degree Mason. He was a long standing member of Incarnation Catholic Church.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Dolores Clark; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Jim Kurzendoerfer; parents, Stephen Romuel and Teresa Durbin Toon; and grandson, Dustin Lighter.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Paul E. Toon (JoAnn), Michele Shuff, Barbara J. Lighter (Rachel), and Kathy Carlile; grandchildren, Edward Toon (Marvell), Jay Toon (Jessica), Laurel Wyatt (Billy), Angie Shaw (Nathan); 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Albert and Charles Toon.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11:30am at Evergreen Funeral Home with visitation on Friday from 1:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home.
