Roger Richard Baugh

Roger Richard Baugh, 80, peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. He was a Louisville native and a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church. Roger was a graduate of Dupont Manual High school, class of 1961, and a member of the 1959 State Championship football team. Roger served in the United States Army. He was the owner of Dairy Mart in Middletown for many years then later worked at ConAgra Foods Inc. Roger married the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Sharon Gayle Meurer Baugh. They enjoyed traveling together and raising their 4 children as well as spending time with their 7 grandchildren. He was the ultimate family man and loved by all! His smile and greeting would light up the room and make you feel so special and right at home. He was extremely involved in coaching his kids in youth sports and was a mentor to many others. When he wasn’t coaching his kids, he was their biggest fan! He cherished the many memories with his family throughout the years.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Womack Baugh and Virginia Volk Baugh, brother Louis M. Baugh and brother Preston Harper Baugh. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Meurer Baugh; children, Melanie Lynn Baugh Sweet, Brian Richard Louis Baugh, Roger Kent Baugh, and Jason Michael Baugh (Cindy). Also surviving is his brother Ralph Baugh (Anita). In addition, are countless friends and other wonderful family members that he loved. Left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Jessica, Alyssa, Hayleigh, Heather, Erika, Austin and Brooklynn.

Visitation will be Friday February 2nd, 2024, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven in Louisville, Kentucky from 12pm-3pm, with the funeral service beginning at 3pm.
