He was born May 14, 1939 in Louisville, the son of Raymond D. and Esther M. (Humphrey) Wieland, who preceded him in death.
Bob was a United States Army Veteran and was the Owner and Operator of Wieland Cabinet Co. for 48 years and was a member of Hurstbourne Baptist Church. He was also a dedicated photographer and had many beautiful pictures.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Barbara (Gibbens) Wieland; a son, David Wieland (Suzanne); a daughter, Diane Wieland Thrasher; four grandchildren, Branden, Spencer, Savannah and Addi; and one sister, Marilyn W. Abel.
A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday and from 9-11AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
