Richard Dayle Jones Jr.

Family members were waiting with open arms to greet him in Heaven. They included his parents Carolyn & Richard Sr, sister Susan “Suzy”, along with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Surviving family members include sons Roy and Ryan, their mom Janet, nieces Samantha and Emma, several cousins, and extended family.

Rick was a graduate of Fern Creek High School. He graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from EKU in 1984.

In his 20s, Rick enjoyed traveling, hiking and biking. He often explored the open spaces of southern Arizona and the natural wonders of Lake Tahoe. He took regular weekend trips across the central/western states and Mexico.

In his 30s in Missouri, he was active in church choir, church orchestra, and an annual community theatre group. The family eventually settled down near the Louisville area.

At 40, Rick stepped out on his own. He enjoyed competitive karaoke, annual Florida trips with his mom, and cheering for the UofL Cardinals.

A visitation for Richard will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

A funeral service will occur Monday, June 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM.

A graveside service will occur Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).
