Peggy Jean Wise, 71, of Palmyra, Indiana passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at Baptist Health Floyd.
A native of Louisville, Peggy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church (New Albany), a former employee of Mother’s Cookies, loved to play bingo, travel, listen to country music (she loved the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac) and in her younger years enjoyed roller skating.
Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Wise; mother Kathryn Wheeler Ritz; and father Russel Sharp.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, John Wise; stepdaughter Wendy Knight (Shawn); grandchildren Johnathan “Seth” Knight and Katie Knight; and sisters Shirley Patterson and Patricia McAdams.
Per her wishes, cremation was chosen, and a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary’s (New Albany) on November 29, 2023 at 10am. Her ashes will be buried at St. Michael Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (Peggy’s favorite charity).
