Patricia Allen Johnson

Patricia was a member of the Motet Singers of Louisville for over 50 years. She was a member of the Church Choir at Crestwood United Methodist Church and a member of many other singing groups including Young Hearts Theatre, Sing Along Sisters, Sweet Harmony, and Joyous Singers. Patricia was also an educator, teaching most recently the preschool class at Trinity Presbyterian.

While music was an important part of her life, her true passion was her family. She was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother. Her personality lit up a room and her energy was contagious. She will be so greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons, David Johnson (Becky) and Wes Johnson (Mary Beth); grandchildren, Rachel Tomsick (Tyler), Hannah Johnson, Sarah Tomsick (Spencer), Zachary Johnson, and Matthew Johnson; great-grandchildren, Amelia Tomsick, Asher Tomsick, Sadie Tomsick, and a baby boy on the way; brother, James Jones (Sandy).

Patricia was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 49 years, Walter D. Johnson; and brothers, Robert Jones and David Jones.

A service to celebrate Patricia’s life will take place on Saturday, January 20, at 11 AM, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19th, from 12 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Patricia will be laid to rest following the service at Resthaven Memorial Park.
