He was a retired employee of General Electric after 37 years of service, and a proud member of the NRA. Mr. Bowles enjoyed hunting, fishing, University of Kentucky sports and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Newman Henry and Angela Bowles and siblings, William Donald Bowles and Doris Logsdon.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Cathy Lynn King, Gregory Daniel Bowles, Christopher Robert Bowles (Billie Jean); brother, David F. Bowles (Debbie); grandchildren, Gloria Jean Gray, Michael Ellis King (Angela), Nicole Lynn Stallings (Chris), Shelby Danielle Bowles, Alexis Jillian Bowles, six great-grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 pm Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
