Michael Pearson, born on January 25, 1972, in Louisville, KY, passed away on August 31, 2024, in his home. He was a cherished husband to Theresa, and a devoted father to his son, Joey, his pride and joy, with whom he shared countless adventures in the great outdoors.
Mike's passion for automotive repair began in his teenage years, working alongside his father, Joe, in their garage. This early experience blossomed into a successful career as an automotive technician, eventually leading Mike to open his own auto repair shop. Known for his trustworthiness and expertise, he became the go-to person for friends and family when it came to car troubles.
In addition to his mechanical skills, Mike was an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting and shooting sports. He was also a great teacher. Mike took pride in sharing his knowledge of firearms with both children and adults, earning the respect of many for his expertise and approachability. Growing up together, Mike forged a lifetime brotherhood with his dear friend, Craig Wilson. His favorite place in the world was Craig's place in Grayson County, where he shared his passion for nature and firearms with
Joey. He found great joy in teaching his son the art of hunting and shooting. The time spent together during these activities became some of the proudest and happiest moments of his life. Mike also enjoyed spending time at Rubbie's, his favorite local watering hole, where he formed lasting friendships over cold Budweiser's.
A proud father, Mike found joy in teaching Joey the ins and outs of hunting and shooting, moments that he cherished deeply. He was known for his storytelling ability, turning everyday occurrences into thrilling tales, captivating listeners with his vivid descriptions. Mike's superpower was his knack for uncovering the truth, as he had an uncanny ability to extract the "whole story" from anyone.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Theresa Pearson; his son, Joey Pearson (Emily); his mother, Joanne Pearson; his sister, Michelle Craig (Kent); and many friends. Mike also had nephews, in-laws, and people that were so much more than friends.
Mike is remembered not only for his skills and passions but also for his kind heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and adventure, along with his beloved pets: Jasper, Lucy, Bristol, Loki, Ringo, Bubba, and Teddy Bear. Michael Pearson will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation for Michael will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel, Louisville, KY, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 PM.
