July 30,1950 - July 7, 2021
Mickey was born and raised in Louisville, KY and attended Bishop David and Pleasure Ridge Park High School. As a young man he moved out west to pursue the California dream. He was a very successful businessman in both the auto industry as well as real estate market. He owned his own car dealership for roughly 25 years and then obtained his real estate license and changed his profession. Upon his son’s Army retirement, Mickey moved back to Louisville, KY to be close to his family.
Although his life ended abruptly before reaching the age of 71, he was always full of energy and loved adventuring out. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, playing numerous musical instruments and watching his grandkids play sports. He will be greatly missed!
Mickey was preceded in death by his father, Kenny Hedges and his mother, Patricia Hedges.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Blaine Hedges (Alison); grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, and Lexi; siblings, Donnie Hedges (Cheryl), Cherie Riggs (David), Diane Bunn and Patty Jo Ward (Steve). Along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends.
To celebrate his life, visitation will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213 with a liturgy service on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00am also at Evergreen Funeral Home in the chapel.
