Melvin L. Wells, 84, of Louisville, departed this world on May 15, 2018. He was born on September 21, 1933, in Greensburg, Kentucky, to the late Willie Clay and Mattie Lee Wells. Melvin was an Army veteran and retired from Coca-Cola. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sheila Wells Jackson; and two brothers. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Joyce Gail Wells; a daughter, Pamela J. Stivers; 2 grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews that loved him very dearly.
A service to celebrate Melvin’s life will be held at Arch L. Heady Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Boulevard, on Saturday at 11 am, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. The visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2-8 pm and Saturday from 10 am until the time of service.
