MERTZ, MARY K. 88, of Louisville, peacefully passed from this life on Wednesday March 21, 2012, at her residence. She was the former Mary Faris, a native Hardin County, a Methodist by faith and was retired from the dry cleaning business having worked for several companies in Louisville. She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Mertz. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Riggle; sons, John S. Mertz, Jr. (Karen), and Michael W. Mertz (Jenny); a sister, Clara Haselden; a brother, Jim Faris; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in the Port Royal Cemetery in Henry County.
