She was a lifetime resident of the Clifton Area, a lifetime member of the Third Lutheran Church. A graduate of J.M. Atherton High School for girls. She was employed at Brown & Williamson tobacco Co. for five years. She retired from GE after twenty-seven years of service.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mildred Ottman, her sister, Raymie Jean Ottman and daughter-in-law, Kelly Payne Bryant.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Denise Swainston, a son, Alan Ray Bryant (Anita and Shelton Lyons), four grandsons, Bryan D. Swainston, Andrew A. Bryant, Nicholas S. and Adam T. Bryant. Brothers, Richard R. Ottman (Gertrud), William C. Ottman (Linda) and a sister, Janet L. Perkins (Roger) and five nephews and their families.
A funeral service to celebrate Mary Catherine’s life will be conducted at 2pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 4-8pm.
