Marjorie Ann Downey, 88, of Louisville was born on October 13, 1934 in Louisville to the late Robert L. and Laura B. (Franklin) Summers, and passed from this life on Sunday January 1, 2023. Marjorie was a homemaker a former employee of the Hazelwood Hospital, and a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Downey, Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bobbie Davis (Mike), Susie Colvin (David), and Ricky Downey, Jr.; grandchildren, B. J. Davis (Naomi), Chuck Davis (Belinda),Jenny Colvin, Chris Colvin (Nina), Joshua Downey, and Jonathan Downey (Deja); 18 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. Funeral services for Marjorie will be held at 11 am on Monday January 9, 2023 at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to her church or Hosparus of Louisville.
