Louise Lillian Young

Louise "Peach" Lillian Young, age 98, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Peach worked at Belknap Hardware years ago then became a stay at home loving mom to 3 wonderful children. She enjoyed so many things in life - canning, being a great cook, gardening (especially her tomatoes), skating, horseback riding, chocolate, ice cream, sitting on the patio on a warm day, going to "the boat", and her UofL teams. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her beautiful grandchildren and her great grandchild!

Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband who always held her hand for 70 years, Frank G. Young; her parents, Walter and Louise Olinick; siblings, Ruth "Sis" Jones, Catherine "Cass" Bryant, and Walter Olinick.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gregory Young, Timothy Young (Teresa), Tina Hoagland (Paul); grandchildren, Timothy Jordan Young, Jessica Louise Hoagland, Sierra Rae Hoagland, Samantha Baker (George), Dylan Moberly (Bree); great grandchild, Macy Jane Baker; siblings, Bob Olinick (Sue), Mary Ann Holsclaw (Ralph); her amazing and caring caregiver, Marilyn "Lovey" Cooper; and many friends and great neighbors.

A visitation for Louise will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40219. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow cremation to be determined later this week.
