Linda Darlene Cammack, devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 74, after a long journey with dementia. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles David Goodlett and Dorothy Kraemer Goodlett.
Linda is survived by her children, Tina Durham (Jerry), Todd Hutchison (Lisa), Troy Cammack, Tara Schweitzer, and Tammy Hailey (Phillip). She was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Linda found immense joy in nurturing and cherishing her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and countless cherished memories.
She is also survived by her siblings, Charles Goodlett and Beverly Lucas, who shared a special bond with Linda throughout their lives.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Phillip Terry Cammack, whose memory she held dear in her heart. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Doris McKnight.
A member of Journey Christian Church, Linda found strength and solace in her spiritual journey. Her love for her church community and her unwavering faith served as guiding forces throughout her life.
Linda's devotion to her family was boundless. She was a loving mother and grandmother, pouring her heart and soul into nurturing and supporting her loved ones. Her love extended even to her cherished canine companions, as she was a doting dog mother.
An avid University of Kentucky fan, Linda's passion for her favorite team was contagious. She reveled in the excitement of game. Her unwavering loyalty to the Wildcats will be remembered by all.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Linda's life at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 2nd, from 3-8 PM. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 3rd, at 11 AM, followed by entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In this time of mourning, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Linda. Her love, kindness, and joyful spirit will forever be etched in our hearts. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire and guide us.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find comfort in the love and memories she leaves behind.
