Leah Childs Gividen

Leah Childs Gividen, 75, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Norton Suburban Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the former Leah Meyers and a homemaker. Leah was a member of Buechel United Methodist Church where she was a leader of the prayer chain for over 10 years. She was also a volunteer of Recovery Inc. and a member of United Methodist Women. For anyone that knew her, Leah was known to love to watch the old hollywood movies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sol L. and Katherine Childs Meyers, and her husband Jack Gividen.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kit Gividen Ostaseski, and her husband Joe, and Arthur Gividen and his fiance' Alycia Alejandro.

Leah's Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Buechel United Methodist Church, 2817 Hikes Lane, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, from 2-8 p.m.
