Larry was a devoted husband to Donna of 50 years, a loving Dad to Shelly (Scott), and the proudest Papa in the world to Cole. He is also survived by his brother Nelson Lemmon (Kim Schuetze), and sister Pat Lynch (Sandy); and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Sylvia Turner.
He was a retired mechanic from Philip Morris.
Larry was known to all for his selflessness and his willingness to help anyone with anything at any time. Everything he touched, he did it the best that he could do. To his family, he was the best dad, husband, papa, and brother anyone could have.
He was humble and loved helping others. He was “mister fix-it” to his grandson, who would tell everyone that his papa could fix anything. Larry loved watching Cole play basketball and anyone who knew him also knew his love for cars. His pride and joy was his beloved 1958 Corvette. He was a founding member of the River Cities Corvette Club and a lifetime member of the National Corvette Museum. He loved spending time and talking to other car enthusiasts at car shows and other car events.
Larry was so proud of his family and all the friends he had. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all.
Larry’s visitation will be from 2:00 PM -8:00 PM on Sunday, Jan 14, 2024, at Heady-Hardy Funeral home 7710 Dixie Hwy. Funeral service at 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Bethany cemetery.
