Larry Wayne Tucker

After a hard-fought battle with an aggressive cancer, Larry Wayne Tucker sadly passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 1, 2023, at the age of 73. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Sandy Tucker; their daughters Melissa Weddle (Tony), Lori Ford (Todd), Jennie Tucker; grandchildren Morgan, Aaron, Carlin Helmer (Dylan), Alyssa, Emily, Jayla, Taryn, and great grandchildren Hoyt, Hunter, and Greyson.

Larry was born on December 17, 1949 in Louisville, KY to father, Carl Frank Tucker and mother Virginia Florence Tucker (Gagel), who preceded him. He is survived by sister Linda Gibson.

Larry was a retired pipefitter with Local #502.

Larry enjoyed a cold beer, good times, and laughs with his family, friends, and Pipefitter buddies. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved a good bass tournament. He leaves behind good memories from his crazy and wild times at the lakehouse ranging from horseshoe tournaments, mission impossible adventures, golf cart joy rides, singing along to his favorite music, bonfires and Knock Knock. He was the epitome of “work hard, play harder”!

His funeral will be on Saturday, February 4th, at 10:30 am at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 8 pm on Friday.
