His parents, Louise and Ben Palmer and sibling Francis Orange preceded him in passing.
Larry was an Army Veteran who enjoyed working and living life to the fullest. Once he completed his term within the military, he went into the workforce. He began this journey at Fischer’s Packing and retired from there to begin his own lawn care business, Palmer Enterprises. In addition to mowing yards, he worked a paper route for the Courier Journal, and for the past five years, he has been driving cars from many places for G&L Auto. Larry believed hard work and dedication would provide for him and his family.
Here to carry on his memory is his wife of 50 years, Linda Palmer, son, Cary Shaw (Laurel), grandchildren; Cortney Shaw, Heather Dobbins, Cordell Shaw, nine great grandchildren, sister, Margaret Turner (Eddie), brother, Ted Palmer (Maxine) and two fur babies, Billy Bob and Bubba.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 5 from 11AM-2PM with a funeral service to begin at 2:00PM. All services will occur at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. Larry will be laid to rest within Resthaven Memorial Park.
