     Joyce always greeted everyone with a smile and as has been mentioned, she was very kind.  She loved being at the zoo.
     My sympathy and prayers go out to her family and friends, at this time.

We were sadden  by the news of Joyce  passing over .   We met her as a docent .  We would be at the docent  meetings  and she would come over , talk and hug,   Such a sweet lady.
May the Lord  comfort  you . 

Joyce,  MaryAnn King,  Carol Behringer  & myself went to Kenya November 2011.  We made  a bunch of wonderful memories  together on the trip.  One was singing My Old Kentucky Home in front of Kilimanjaro.  The mist/clouds had lifted so we could see Mount Kilimanjaro.  We also saw a rainbow and had our driver going all over the place looking for the pot of gold. for us. We told him we would be able to stay longer in Africa.  

She also made the best Lemon Meringue Pie,  I have ever had. It was a  real treat to be invited to her apartment, as she usually made  the pie.

So very glad I was friends with Joyce.

I'm so sorry to hear about Joyce's passing.  I worked with her at the zoo many times.  She was always so upbeat and enthusiastic about the zoo, she was well liked and had many friends there.  

She will be missed in our Docent community.

Joyce Clark was a dear mentor of mine, and I would likely not be working at the Zoo today if it weren't for her influence. She taught me the meaning of service to our community, and was always so incredibly kind to me and encouraging. I would not be the person I am today without Joyce; she showed me how to be kind and never assume you know what someone else is going through. Joyce will forever be someone I think of when I am here, it seems like every time I come down to the MetaZoo I might see her in the conference room with her typical smile, or out on grounds connecting a group with nature. I will miss her kindness and guidance until the end of my days, she was truly special.

Our Docent Family has lost a bright light. Joyce was so dedicated to being a Docent and showed her enthusiasm in whatever she did. She was delightful to work with.  Louisville Zoo Docents

Joyce was a  sweet friend and fellow drummer at our Zoo.  She would pat my knee in comfort as we were  learning to play the drums.    Peace and prayers to family.  

I am so sorry. Always hard to say good bye.  I know she is at peace.  As we often do I lost track over time.  She was a bright spot with a contagious laugh.  May God comfort all her family.

You have my Deepest Condolences ! Mimmie will always be remembered ! She was a special lady that lived life freely like a butterfly 🦋, she made her rounds with Family and Friends always so sweet & smiling! Her smile was so contagious, it would make you want to smile ! Working at the zoo & connecting with others was the joy of her days , to speak about the animals, etc..  hands on with the children & Storytelling was her forte !
I was so Blessed to be a part of her life & I will miss her! Love you Always 😘🥰

Joyce was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Agnes Harlow; mother, Catherine Jones.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Clark, Valeria Gordon; grandchildren, Ashley Childress, Angela Chamberlain, Chris Clark, Sarah Childress, Katye Jaggers, Trey Gordon; great grandchildren, Skyler Childress, Lucas Parnell, Zach Childress, Riley Brown, Hunter Welch, Brantley Welch, Stephen Pollard, Chloe Gray, Aleah Gray, Camden Gray, Avery Gray, Lincoln Gray, Cooper Clifton; and many neighbors and friends.
