Joseph Richard Schickel Sr., 82, of Louisville, passed away January 22, 2022. He was the owner of Schickel Drywall and Plastering for more than 50 years, and he loved his time spent at the Sportsdrome Speedway in Clarksville, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Deanna F. Schickel; parents, Ed Sr. and Irene Schickel; sisters, Jeannine Howell and Helene Speedy; and his brothers, Cliff Schickel, James Schickel, Kenneth Schickel, and Ronnie Schickel. He is survived by his children, Cecelia Hawkins(Bruce), Rebecca McComis, Rick Schickel Jr.(Susan), and Ginny Schickel; grandchildren, Alicia Hayes(Doug) and Sean McComis(Jess); great-grandchildren, Alaina Hayes, Paul Hayes, and Jason McComis; sister, Elaine Lynch; and brother, Edward Schickel(Connie).
