Joseph S. McDowell

Joseph "Scott" McDowell passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born October 6, 1961 the son of Kenneth John McDowell, Jr. and Mary Alice Feldkamp McDowell. Scott worked as a warehouse worker/ forklift operator for Zenith Logistics for 35 years. Scott was a devoted husband and loving father who enjoyed texting his dad joke of the day.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Todd Anthony McDowell.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Helena Johanna Dietrich McDowell, sons: Daniel (Olivia) McDowell, Eric (Madeline) McDowell, daughters: Kelsey (Ryan Smith) McDowell, Samantha McDowell, grandchildren: Oliver, Audrey, Clarke Josephine, Franklin Joseph, siblings: Jeffrey Allen McDowell (Karen), Traci Marie Cooley (Sean), nephew: Adam McDowell, nieces: Shelby and Kierstin Cooley.

Visitation will be from 3 PM until 8 PM on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to an animal shelter of their choice.
