John Dennis Williams

He retired after over 40 years of service with the IBEW 369 Electrical Union. He was a member of the KY Amvets post 61, as a son of the Amvets since 1982. He was also a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church.

As a member of Amvets 61 he was on the horseshoe league from 1982 right up until his passing. He also enjoyed bowling and was very passionate about his Harley Davidson.

John was preceded in passing by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara A. Williams; siblings, Jesse Knoechelman, Margie Spencer, Joseph B. Williams, and Mary Catherine Arnett.

He is survived by his children, John Daryl Williams (Candaline), Cheryl Lynn Almeida (Jesse); grandson, Kyle Mathew Williams; step-grandson, Jason Koerner; several nieces and nephews; lots of great nieces and nephews; and sister in laws, and brother in laws.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 28th, at 11 AM, at the St. Athanasius Catholic Church, in Louisville. A time for visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27th, from 12-8 PM at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. He will be laid to rest directly following Mass at Resthaven Memorial Park.
