John Edward Parker, 78 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away September 24, 2024. He was born on September 11, 1946, to the late John Edward and Mable Parker. John volunteered with Shively Ministries for 14 years and was an avid lover of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. John was known for the many nicknames he gave to the people he loved.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his daughter, Penny L. Parker; and sister, Mabelene.
Left to cherish John’s memory is his loving wife of 51 years, Shirley Parker; children, John Edward Parker (Tammie), Joseph Luther Parker (Linda), Kitana Lynn Washam (Steve), and Robert Michael Parker; siblings, Elizabeth Crider, Claude William Parker, and Michael Anthony Parker; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and all of his friends at Shively Ministries.
