Jennifer was Catholic by faith and a life-long Louisvillian. She was educated at St. Rita School and a graduate of Presentation Academy. She was also a graduate of Spalding University as a Registered Nurse. As she pursued her career in nursing she was led to work at UofL Hospital in the Seizure Monitoring Department. Because of her caring nature, she loved her career, co-workers and patients. Jennifer loved the outdoors all her life. She was a Girl Scout as a youth and enjoyed camping and fishing throughout all her years with us. As a teen she loved serving as a life guard and enjoyed swimming and boating.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Katie Woods; an aunt, Pamela Roos; and great-aunt and uncle, Joe and Mary Rose Blair.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Cheryl Spickard (David); father, Louis Steven Oechslin; grandparents, Louis E. and Mary D. Oechslin; brother, Louis Kenneth Oechslin (Lindy); her beloved nieces and god-children, Megan Grace and Olivia Rose Oechslin; aunts and uncles, Mary Jo (Tom), Keith (Charlotte), Carol (Gary), Barb (Mike), Susan (Mike), Janet (Chip), Trish (Robert), Jim (Carol), Melody (Wade), Peggy (Alan), and David.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Jennifer's life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Highway. Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home Monday from 1-9 p.m.
One of the greatest loves of Jennifer's life was her Miniature Doberman Pincher, Doby.
