Dr McIntire will definitely be missed.  She was the family dentist to my wife and 5 children for over 20 years.  Several years ago, our daughter Molly shadowed her practice.  This led to the start of Molly's  dental career.  We are blessed to have been her patients.  She is missed.

I just learned of Dr. McIntyre's passing, and my heart just aches.  She was my dentist for over 15 years.  She was wonderful, and I never felt any pain with her!  I know she was an animal lover as am I.  She will be truly missed.

For 2 decades, DR. McIntyre was a caring dentist for myself and my family. Over the years we would share stories of our lives and she would tell me about her sisters and nephews and nieces and I would tell her stories about my travels and my father who was living a long life well on his way to a century. She was thorough in her examination of my teeth and would do a perfect job at restoring my teeth and making sure my grinding of the teeth did not damage the enamel. She was always worried that I wanted to hang on to my wisdom teeth and unlike other Dentists did not persuade me to get rid of them. Every single tooth remains in place. The entire staff of her dental practice is always welcoming and polite. Deanna worked with her for 31 years and is a very special person who keeps everything going with a clock work precision. It is very sad that she passed away just days after retirement. Sympathies to all her loved ones. RIP fellow baby boomer Dr. Janet McIntyre. 

I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Dr McIntyre.  She was my parents and my dentist ever since I can remember. Even when my daughter in law became a dentist I didn’t want to switch because of my exceptional relationship with her and her staff. She always told me I had beautiful teeth.

 I had just received a letter in the mail about her retiring  and the very next day I heard of her passing.  So unfair.  My deepest condolences to her friends, family and staff.  She will be missed.  RIP Dr McIntyre.

I began going to Dr. Janet McIntyre over 25 years ago and I thought highly of her because she made you feel at ease and she knew her craft well.  She also had a good sense of humor, so it was easy to do a little comic relief if I was stressed out over a dental procedure. I remember during some of my visits we laughed so much we had to quiet ourselves down.   Dr. Janet McIntyre's greatest talent was her desire to help others.   I wish she could have enjoyed her upcoming retirement.  It was well deserved,  but God wanted her more.

I never felt comfortable calling her Janet, I guess because I felt she deserved to hear “doctor” for her training and dedication.  She first started seeing my husband John years before me. I was never at ease with dentists until I saw her. She also saw my son early on and my mom. It never failed after many years of not seeing them that she always asked about my son and my mom as if they had just been by for a visit. We talked about her dear sister and the pandemic while trading stories of travel adventures and future trips. I will miss her for yes her dedication and true love of her profession but more for her kindness. God speed Dr. McIntyre, you will be truly missed. My condolences to your family and your dedicated staff who I pray for today and every day.

  Dr. McIntyre and I had a special relationship. We shared many personal conversations as she was caregiver to her husband and I to mine. I want to share part of what a kind, giving woman she was with you.
My husband suffered with Alzheimer's disease. And he adored her, and was able to comply with anything she asked him to do, which was difficult for him to do with other situations. One visit for a special need she had to handle for him, I explained to her we were told we should call Hospice. At the end of that office visit, she went out to Deana with me, and said that"there will be no charge for this visit. I want to do this for Sidney."
Janet was special and I will miss her dearly! My condolences  to you all. 🙏🤗

Dr. McIntyre and I go way back…when her office was off Taylorsville Road …  She was considered the expert at root canals in the early days ( and I was fortunate she was recommended by a friend)) … Janet was a kind, considerate person who went out of her way to help people.  I remember in my early years, as a teacher… I had a busy day and going to the dentist was last on my list… unfortunately, I had not noticed my gas gauge… you got it, I ran out coming up the ramp near Dr. McIntyre’s office… she insisted on taking me to get gas… I was her last patient that day! That’s who Janet was…  She built relationships with clients and their families… Her gift of fitting a crown and filling a cavity, was the way she gave back to her humankind!  I always noticed how clients reacted and spoke to her like family! She was always interested in my travels and adventures with every visit… oh how we solved the world’s problems and issues through the  years…
I will forever miss our engaging conversations and stories of her dogs… sisters…and elderly neighbor she had befriended!

You will be sorely missed!

Dr. McIntyre was a funny spectacular Dentist who has been my dentist for almost 30 years. My wife and I started seeing her back before my son was born in 1992.  She came into the office many times to see me after hours to fix my various painful tooth issues. She was quite challenged with my bad oral care over the years and always there for me. She saw all 3 of my children and was quite challenged when we brought her my two children adopted from Russia who had cavities and spoke very little English. Her office was always filled with wonderful staff and she always shared her stories with me. It has been a great joy knowing her these 30 years. We both enjoyed our coffee and always chatted. My husband and I went to Dr Mcyntire for several years.  My husband was there 3 weeks ago and she had told him that she had sold her share of the practice.  We were both excited for her.  We are shocked and very sad to hear about her passing.

So sorry to hear about the passing of my dentist Dr. Janet McIntyre.  She was always so friendly and full of life, passing along stories about her sister and her dogs.   Sending condolences & prayers to her family and loved ones.  Also thoughts and prayers to the staff at her office.  She will surely be missed!

Just two weeks ago, I was in the dental office (one of many visits over the last 20 years). She told me she was retiring and had sold the practice.  I was excited for her and her new journey.  I’m so sad she didn’t get that time she so much deserved. Thinking of all the family and extended family in the office too! 

She also had donated to our Bluegrass Classic Bowling Tournament over the last few years, another example of her good works. 

You will be missed.

I am so sad about Dr. Janet's passing. She was my dentist when I lived in Louisville, and when I moved to Cincinnati, I kept her as my dentist because she was just so awesome and amazing. She took great care of my teeth and her warm and caring presence made me feel safe and comfortable...which is not usually the case when I'm in the dentist's chair! She was much more than a dentist. I think she was also an angel in disguise, and I'm profoundly grateful that I was in her care. I will miss you very much, Dr. Janet. Thank you for everything.

I have so many wonderful memories of our 40 year friendship.  My heart is broken but I know time will lessen the pain and the memories will fill that void in my heart. Our dental school days cemented our life long friendship and her giving heart made me a better person.  Some of my fondest memories are the trips to Germany and Italy , Hawaii, the Outer Banks (had to climb every lighthouse), St. George Island and Panama City.  I loved her kindness and her wonderful spirit and I will miss her more than words can say. Rest In Peace my dear friend.
