Jane Vincent Butler, 83, of Louisville, passed away at the Norton Hospice Pavilion on the evening of January 12, 2012 after a brief illness, with her family by her side. She was the former Jane Vincent and a native of Kent, Ohio. Jane had retired from the Old Fitzgerald Distillery and was a member of the Summitt Heights Methodist Church. She absolutely loved to travel, work in her garden, cook and go camping. Entertaining was a favorite especially with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Susan Ragland Vincent; her loving husband, James W. Butler and her daughter, Constance R. Goforth.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, G. Gail Butler, David A. Butler and Deborah B. McCaulley (Mark J.); sisters, Dovie Grubbs and Francis Givens; grandchildren, Aaron, Kim, Ian, Katie, Justin, Brian and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren, Lacee, Rene', Brandon, William, Megan, Matthew, Jacob, Justin II and Brian Jr.
Jane's Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and Monday after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
