James Ellis Burgin, 82, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born December 19, 1939, the son of Charles Ellis Burgin and Frances Louise Logsdon Burgin. James was a member of Southeast Christian Church and retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years where he was an assembler.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, M. Ethel Burgin.
He is survived by one son; Roger Burgin (Kim) and one daughter, Jeannine Fernandez (Alan), Grandchildren: Ashley Small (Abigail), Portia Kresse (Mikey), Anthony Fernandez, Corey Barber (Jocelyn), Great grandchildren: Corey Barber, Watson Kresse, Aubrey Barber, Pierce James Kresse, J.J Barber, Kyser Small, one sister, Ruby Burgin and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).
Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time of 2 PM at the funeral home on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.
