Jacqueline "Jackie" Craddock, age 84, of Louisville, KY passed away on September 2, 2024. She was born January 26, 1940, in Wooton, KY. She was the daughter of the late James Clark and Ollie Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband James Owen Craddock, brother Donald Eugene "Chig" Clark, sister Jo Ann Hudson, sister Joyce Evelyn Day and brother-in-law Carmel Powell. She has one surviving brother, Rod Clark (Donna) and sister-in law, Orvilla Powell.
She is survived by her children Leslie J. Willingham (Will) and Heather J. Bramer and three grandchildren Makenzie Bramer (Heather) Lee Willingham (Will), and Angelina Willingham (Will).
Jackie was a Veteran of the U.S. Women's Army Corps from 1961 to 1963 where she worked at the Pentagon. She retired from Jefferson County Public Schools system in 2001. She worked at Semple Elementary School in office administration. She met the best friends she ever had while working there. The group still enjoys spending time with each other.
She enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, reading Stephen King Novels, Jigsaw Puzzles, and Board Games. Her favorite past time was watching ballgames. From her beloved Louisville Cardinals to the Los Angeles Dodgers to the LA Lakers to the Indiana Fever. She also loved cheering for who ever played against The University of Kentucky.
Jackie also loved her cats. Especially Bolton, a blue point Siamese that was taken too soon. While living in Virginia her last 7 years she slowly became a dog person, although she would deny it. She would rock the beagle puppies in her la-z-boy or in the swing on the back deck. Finally, she gave in and bonded with a puppy who had no siblings. She would call him Larry Joe Bird (the Celtics).
Visitation will be on Tuesday September 17, 2024, from 2 to 8 pm at Arch L Heady & Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday September 18, 2024, at Arch L Heady & Son Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. 4400 Dixie Highway Louisville, KY 40216 (Located behind the old Bacon's)
