A native of Lousiville, Jack grew up in Crescent Hill and attended Atherton High School. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Kentucky, where he was the first ever golf scholarship recipient. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Commerce. He retired from Parrott-Williams Veneer Corporation, where he was in sales and finance.
He attended Harvey Browne Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder.
Jack was an avid and talented golfer, loved travel, art, his Kentucky Wildcats, and following his grandsons' sports teams. Above all, he loved his family and special friend, Joanne. His warm smile, caring nature, and wit will be missed by his family and wide circle of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack C Crutcher, Sr. and Aleene; his wife, Ann; and his son, Jay.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristin Crutcher Strickland and husband Bill; beloved twin grandsons, Brock and Jack Umberger; loving friend, Joanne Heumann, and sister, Marla C. Grimm, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, February 6th in the sanctuary of Harvey Browne Memorial Presbyterian Church, 311 Browns Lane, Louisville, KY 40207. Visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon 4-7 pm at, Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206.
