Jack served in the United States Army. He worked as a shipping clerk for Ford Motor Company, where he retired after 31 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of over 60 years, Laverne Thompson Black.
He is survived by children; Karen (Rick), Rob, Brenda (Brian), 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, his sister, Dot Parker, and numerous family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Wildwood Country Club from 3 PM until 7 PM on March 2, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial gifts be made to a local VFW of your choice.
