Henry James “Jim” Wise, Jr., 72, was born on July 11, 1949 in Louisville to the late Henry James Sr., and Loretta (Peiper) Wise and passed away on Sunday May 29, 2022. Jim was retired from the U. S. Post Office where he worked for over 40 years, and was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Wise. He is survived by his wife the former Norma Smith, children, Rachel Wise, Stephanie Miller, Robin Steele and Bill Pence; sisters, Joyce Mlinek and Helen Atchley; brothers, Ron and Larry Wise; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral mass of celebration for Jim will be held at 10 am on Saturday June 4, 2022 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3509 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Friday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd.
