Helen Rebecca Dorton

Helen Rebecca Dorton, age 91, of Falls of Rough, Kentucky went to be with her Lord & Savior on July 4, 2023. She was born on March 5, 1932 in Cox's Creek, Kentucky to the late Ben A. Jackson and Mary Brown Jackson. Helen is also preceded in death by her husband, Gene H. Dorton; and her son, David J. Dorton.

Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a special kind of motherly love that glowed upon her as she walked into the room. Helen was devout christian and would talk to everyone she knew about her love for Jesus. Helen was a mother to all who knew her, she had a kind, loving and giving heart, she will truly be missed.

Left to cherish Helen's memory are her children, Becky Byers (Danny), Bobby Dorton (Tina); daughter-in-law, Cindy Dorton; brothers, David Jackson (Peggy), Billy Joe Jackson (Joan); and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213, with a service to honor the life of Helen to follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Helen will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
