Mr. Blakely was born to the late Ada and Robert Blakely. He enjoyed hunting and golfing. Harold worked as a welder for the rail road and served as a Special Policeman in the Army.
Mr. Blakely was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 57 years, Wilma Blakely, infant son; Matthew Wayne Blakely.
He is survived by his four children; Laura Ann Epley (Tom), Robin Michele “Bobbi” Moore (John), Tracey Lynn Beck (Steve), H. Wayne Blakely (Erin); grandchildren; Desiree’ Lynn Atherton, Pamela T. Heavrin, Jordan Epley, Nichole Epley, John William Moore Jr., James Jacob Moore, Jesse Lee Moore, Samantha Michele McDonough, Lyndsey Morgan O’Connor, Emma Grace Blakely, Julia Paige Blakely, and Matthew Wayne Blakely; 11 great grandchildren, one great-great grandaughter and lots of nieces and nephews, siblings; Robert Lee “Bob” Blakely, Shirley Coomer, and Peggy Walker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 07, 2021 from 12:00PM -2:00PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral service will start at 2:00PM following visitation.
Mr. Blakely will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
