Gloria Susan “Sue” Smith at the age of 72, joined her parents in heaven on Feb. 09, 2023.
Susan is a 1969 graduate of Assumption High School. She spent her entire 40+ years nursing career, in caring for babies. First in the NICU at Children’s Hospital. Then to caring for newborns at Suburban Hospital, finishing her career at Brownsboro Pediatrics before retiring in 2016. She was also an original owner of Care-A-Lot Daycare.
She is survived by her brothers Paul A, Smith, Jr. and Stephen T. Smith, sister, Constance S. Kinsella. Sue is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nephews.
Visitation will occur on Sunday, Feb. 19 from 12-3PM with a Celebration of her life beginning at 3PM. All services will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.
