He was a retired truck driver and had been a volunteer for the PRP Fire Department. Coochie loved sitting on his front porch when he wasn't tinkering with cars. He also loved gardening, corn hole, his daughters, grandkids, and a cold Bud Light.
Mr. Gardner was preceded in rest by his father, Maxie Gardner, Jr.; and his brother, Maxie Darrell Gardner.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa McGinty (Brad) and Megan Gardner (Larry Taylor); six grandchildren, Cali, Keegan, Austin, Grayson, Cayden and Colton; brothers, Laymon Gardner (Rhonda), Wayne Gardner (Patsy), Royce Gardner (Vicki), Tommy Gardner and Mitchell Gardner; a sister, Tina Gardner; his mother, Edna Gardner; and mother of his children, Cathy Gardner Croft.
Mr. Gardner's funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 16th, at 10 am with interment following in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, July 15th, from 3pm until 8pm.
