Arlene was born on May 29, 1939 in Warsaw, Kentucky to the late Claude and Francis Devine. She collected and loved Angels, in return those Angels took her to be with her Heavenly Father. Arlene and her husband enjoyed Square Dancing and Ballroom Dancing together for many years. She retired from Jefferson County Public Schools after 29 years of service.
Arlene is the beloved wife of 37 years to Joseph Caulk, who survives her. Also left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Cheryl Rayburn (Danny); granddaughter, Amy Rayburn Johnson (Perry); great-grandchildren, Perry and Jacobi Johnson; brother-in-laws and their spouses, Charles Caulk (Brenda), Carl Wilson (Belinda), and George Weber (Cathy); and a special nephew, Keith Caulk, who helped care for Arlene; along with several other nieces and nephews.
There will be a Funeral Mass to honor the life of Arlene at 10am on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, 2931 Pindell Ave., Louisville, KY 40217, with Father Harry Gelthaus officiating. Arlene will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation for the public will be from 3-8pm on Wednesday, August 27, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway.
The Caulk family wishes memorial donations in memory of Arlene to be directed to Hosparus of Louisville or Kentucky Diabetes Camp for Children. Envelopes for the memorial donations can be received at the funeral home.
