Ernest was born January 15, 1939. Ernest was a native of Logan, West Virginia and was born to the late Robert Vincent & Bertha Stallings Dingess.
He was a 1960 graduate of Logan High School. Ernest worked with tile, marble, granite & terrazzo since he was 19 years of age as a trade learner. He worked for Keno Rosa Tile Company which closed in 1984. He then worked for Rosa Mosaic Tile Company, beginning with them on December 14, 1984. He retired in July of 2006. He definitely loved his work family.
He enjoyed the old and new country music, listening to karaoke & square dancing.
He also loved to cook. He loved to make his famous cashew peanut brittle and at times, bourbon balls which he was also known for. He also loved to play pool, loved to hang with friends and most of all loved his family. Ernest was very quiet and soft spoken, until he got to know you. He had his very own personality & a very pretty smile too.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jackie “Dee” Dingess; parents, Robert Vincent & Bertha Stallings Dingess; sisters, Shirley Watts, Amber Fay Walsh, Madeline Altie Wright; brothers, Don Dingess, Bourbon Dingess & Malcolm Dingess; his daughters fella, George “Fred” Meyer, III, who was very much family.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Anna Danielle Dingess. He also leaves behind his beloved fur babies, Biscuit & Baby Boy. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
