Ernie was born on March 10, 1931 in Webster, Kentucky. He spent the majority of his life in Louisville working at Cissell Manufacturing for 47 years before retiring in 1996. While working at Cissell he also was the maintenance provider for the City of Lynnview until his death and will surely be mowing grass in heaven.
He was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for 56 years, serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He also was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and an avid Louisville Cardinal fan.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Patsy (Chism) Curry, his parents, Ernest and Meda (Priest) Curry, brothers Roy Curry and Johnnie Curry.
Survivors include his loving wife of 8 years, Willie (Stigler) Curry, his children, Jim (Janice) Curry, Elaine (Lindsay) Sibert, Mary Kaye (Rusty) Riley, his grandson and the apple of his eye, Brooks Riley, her children, Tom (Karen) Stigler, Robin (John) Redfearn, Lisa Stigler, Belinda Stigler Love, her grandchildren, Chris (Jodi) Hogan, Sean (Lauren) Roberts, Brooke (Lee) Garcia, Jeremy Stigler, Laura Love. Her great grandchildren, Dylan and Easton Hogan, Gavin and Hailee Garcia and Mason Roberts who loved their Grandpa Ernie. His brothers and sisters, Mary Curry, Jonelle Curry, Donald Curry, Shirley (Bob) Bratcher, Michael (Janice) Curry and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to his caregivers for taking such good care of him for the short time he was home.
