MATTHEWS, EDYTH ELAINE, 69, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Kindred Healthcare Center.
She was a retired private duty nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Clay Matthews; and a brother, Talmadge Embry.
She is survived by her children, David Matthews (Myra), Frank Matthews (Pam) and Gary Matthews and Theresa Wood; sisters, Edith and Jean; and brother, Glenn and nine grandchildren.
A celebration of Edyth's life will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home with interment at Union Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Welch's Creek, KY.
Visitation will be Monday 1-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
