Edith M. Hartman, age 91, passed away at her daughter’s home on June 26, 2021 in Sellersburg, IN. Edith retired from South Park Country Club after 30 + years of service.
Edith enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, traveling but her true love was her flower garden.
Edith is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Choate, Linda Perkins (Barry); sons, Norman Hartman (LeaAnne), Michael Hartman, and Charles Hartman; 18 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren; a sister Bertha Higdon-Hogan of Cave City; sister in-laws, Joy Gossett of Cave City, and Geraldine Reed of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
Edith is preceded in death by her husband Norman H. Hartman, Jr., a son Kevin Hartman, and a son in-law Donald Choate,; her parents, Henry and Mary Gossett; her sisters, Beulah Doyle, Gracie Mae Sturgeon, Frances Toohey, Doris Hunt, brothers, Charlie Gossett, Willie Gossett, Claudie Gossett, Ray Gossett, and Orville Gossett.
Funeral services for Edith will be held at 1 pm Saturday July 3, 2021 in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. And after 10 am Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
