Edith W. Black, 101, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday January 10, 2018. She was very proud to have lived to be "101 plus." Edith was a very independent, strong willed, witty, sharp, and loving person who will be missed greatly. She was also a member of Beechwood Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Birdie Mae Shelburne; husband, Delbert Frank Black; their son, Ronald Lee Black; and her brother, Leslie Huff.
Edith is survived by her daughters: Patricia Jean Pasquini (Angelo) and Cynthia Lynn Bettler (Jerald); 10 grandchildren: Teresa (Eddie), Tony (Becky), Michael, Monica, Bryan (Erin), Aaron (Megan), Craig, Melissa (Eric), Melanie (Jeff) and Matthew; and 6 great-grandchildren: Haleigh, Hannah, Hope, Rylee, Brooklyn and Addison.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. A private family funeral will take place at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
