Don was a United States marine who proudly served his country and was awarded two purple hearts.
He was also the former owner of Buechel Motors and avid golfer.
Don was met at the gates of Heaven by his parents, Louis Collini, Gertrude Collini; mother-in-law, Rhodona Hettinger; daughter, Janet. And many more angels.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years Donna Collini, and his children, Donald Edwin Collini (Debbie), Matthew Collini, and Susan Smith: sister, Rita Shaughnessy.
Don also leaves his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends.
Visitation will occur on Wednesday, November 8th from 4-8pm at Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd Louisville KY 40218.
A funeral for Donald will be held Thursday, November 9th at 12:00pm at Arch L Heady at Resthaven with Entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
