He was a former employee of Brown-Forman Cooperage and Kroger. He also worked as an independent contractor and carpenter. Dillon graduated from Valley high school where he played in the marching band. He played drums (with abandon), guitar (with joy), mandolin and ukulele (for fun). He loved music and writing songs.
Dillon had a close band of friends he considered brothers. He thought of his Boxer dogs; Greta, Crenshaw, and Grady as his kids.
He laughed and cussed with equal gusto. He saw no need to suffer fools gladly but had a good soul and a kind generous heart.
Dillon is preceded death by his beloved grandparents; Pirtle and Betty Marshall, William “Hugh” Garner, Fern and Walter Dreffs.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Bill and Menisa, sister; Laura Litz (Bill), nephew; Ryan Litz (Alicia), nieces; Devon Litz (Keaton), and Darby Miller (Jesse), aunts; Melanie Rheaume (Tom), and Gloria Haynes (John). He also leaves his cousins; Mike, Jason, Teresa, Tonya, and Lisa.
Visitation will be on Saturday at 11:00am to 2:00pm at Advantage Funeral Home, 10907 Dixie Highway, with a celebration of life service to follow at 2:00pm. Cremation will be scheduled per his wishes.
