Dawn Marie Weir Smith, 51, passed away on February 16, 2020. She was born on October 28, 1968 in South Amboy, New Jersey, to the late Joseph and Kathleen Weir.
She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Michael R. Smith; children, Jessica Smith, Jamie Smith (Christopher Herberman), Cody Smith; brother, Joseph Michael Weir (Grace Marie Weir); Joseph’s daughter, DeAnna Kathleen Grace Weir; and many beloved cousins.Dawn loved soccer and softball. She attended Rutgers University on a full softball scholarship. Dawn was a beautiful soul that brought joy and laughter to the ones she loved. Her smile made life more beautiful. Her laugh was contagious. The world is less bright without her in it.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, from 2-8 PM and Friday 10-1 PM at the Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village. A service to celebrate Dawn’s life will take place at 1 PM on Friday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
