David was born on March 10, 1954 in Harlan County to the late Eugene and Anosha Nipper.
David is retired from General Shale Brick Yard after 27 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
David is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Mary Oden Nipper; sons, Timothy Oden (Jessica) and Michael Nipper; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Louise Waddell, Ronnie Nipper, and Teresa Daniels (Clifford).
Funeral service to honor the life of David will be 2pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, with Brother Charlie Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-8pm on Monday and from 10am-2pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
